Shawana Crawford

Shawana’s decision to get into real estate came from watching her mother’s passion for the industry. After her mother retired as a counselor from their local school district, she decided to become a Realtor. Shawana watched from the sidelines in admiration as her mother succeeded in her second career, eventually becoming a Broker and opening her own real estate company, which she still runs today.

Shawana graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Doctorate and Master of Science in Nursing. She also has a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Jackson State University.

Before becoming a realtor, Shawana was in the healthcare industry and was a nurse practitioner for a Transplant Hepatology team from 2008 – 2015. She is currently also a Principal Medical Scientist in Liver Disease since 2015. Shawana is part of the Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, Texas Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, Jackson State University Alumni Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

When Shawana isn’t helping her clients buy and sell homes, she loves to travel to new places, visit museums, watch movies, go to concerts, and shop the latest fashions.

Fun Fact: Shawana loves different genres of music, and she is a great dancer!
